DAY 01 - ARRIVE DELHI
The tour representative meets you on
arrival in Delhi, India. Check in at
a hotel on arrival for an overnight
stay. Rest awhile and set out on a
guided tour to Old Delhi. Begin with
an exploratory tour of Red Fort
- a red sandstone structure built by
Emperor Shah Jahan when he shifted
base from Agra to Delhi. See Jama
Masjid a mosque that was also
built by Shah Jahan. Visit the
Rajghat and shop for artifacts
as you walk along the streets of
Chandni Chowk that was laid by
emperor Shah Jahan for his daughter
Jahanara.
Drive
back to the hotel for dinner and
overnight stay.
DAY 02 -DELHI
Day 02 of the Royal Rajasthan Tour
begins with visits to attractions
such as the Qutub Minar,
Humayun's Tomb and
Chhattarpur Temple. Enjoy
shopping for souvenirs in the
markets of Delhi, India. You are
free to spend the afternoon at
leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel
in Delhi.
DAY 03 -DELHI -
MANDAWA
Drive to Mandawa in Rajasthan on day
03 of the Royal Rajasthan Tour with
Magical India Tours. Check in at a
heritage hotel for dinner and
overnight stay. Set out on tours to
the mansions of Shekhawati i.e.
referred to as the 'open-air art
gallery of Rajasthan'. Mandawa was
founded in the 18th century.
DAY 04 - MANDAWA -
BIKANER
Drive to Bikaner with the Royal
Rajasthan Tour Package. Check in at
a hotel on arrival for dinner and
overnight stay. Tour the Junagarh
Fort that was built by Raja Rai
Singh; see the Lalgarh Palace
that was constructed by Maharaja
Ganga Singhji. The other attractions
you may tour the Camel Breeding
Farm, Karni Mata Temple
etc.

overnight at the hotel in Bikaner,
Rajasthan, India.
DAY 05 -BIKANER -
KHIMSAR
Drive to Khimsar with the Royal
Rajasthan Tour itinerary. Check in
at the Khimsar Fort for an overnight
stay. Tour the Junagarh Fort
and other attractions before
retiring for the night at the
Khimsar Fort.
DAY 06 -KHIMSAR -
JAISALMER
The morning takes you to Jaisalmer
via Osian - an oasis in the desert.
A drive to this ancient township
takes one past undulating terrain,
punctuated by desert stretches and
little hamlets, Osian has 15
beautifully sculpted Jain and
Brahma temples. On arrival
check-in at the hotel for overnight
stay.
DAY 07 -JAISALMER
Day Seven of the Royal Rajasthan
Tour brings you to the desert city
of Jaisalmer. Explore the stupendous
Jaisalmer Fort that houses
the entire township within its
protective ramparts and the
magnificent havelis such as
Patwon-ki-haveli and Salim
Singh-Ki-Haveli that are over
centuries old.
The
evening is reserved for a visit to
the Sam Sand Dunes that give
you the taste of the Thar Desert at
its majestic best. Enjoy camel
safaris as well as cultural
programmes. Overnight stay at the
Sam Sand Dunes.
DAY 08 -JAISALMER -
JODHPUR
The morning takes you to Jodhpur
where you check in at a hotel. Post
lunch, visit the Mehrangarh Fort,
which is set atop a 125 meter high
hill. Explore the Jaswant Thada
Memorial- a cluster of royal
cenotaphs built in 1899 AD in memory
of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II.
Overnight stay at a hotel.
DAY 09 -JODHPUR -
ROHETGARH
In the morning we drive to Rohetgarh
and check-in at hotel on arrival. In
the afternoon, proceed on a safari
to Bishnoi Villages to explore these
environmentalists' distinct way of
life that hasn't been tarred with
modernity. Also visit the villages
of craftsmen - potters, weavers, and
metal-ware. Overnight stay at the
hotel.
DAY 10 - ROHETGARH -
UDAIPUR
On the 10th day of the
Royal Rajasthan Tour, drive towards
Udaipur en-route visiting
Ranakpur Jain Temples that are
renowned for their exquisite carved
work in marble and a centre for Jain
pilgrimage as well. On arrival at
Udaipur, check into a hotel for
overnight stay.
DAY 11- UDAIPUR
The city of lakes- Udaipur is a
fascinating city to explore. With
its intriguing blend of sights,
sounds and experience- Udaipur is a
tourist's delight. Enjoy a boat ride
on the placid waters of Lake Pichola
and in the afternoon and visit the
City Palace, Jagdish
Temple, Sahelion-Ki-Bari
and Bharatiya Lok Kala Museum
as well as the island palaces of
Jag Mandir and Jag Niwas.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 12 -UDAIPUR -
PUSHKAR
Day 12 will take us to the holy city
of Pushkar. On arrival check-in at
the hotel and rest a while. Later
visit Pushkar lake, a dip in
which is considered the most sacred
thing to do. Visit the nearby
Brahma Temple, the only one in
India and the Nag Pahar or
the snake mountain.
DAY 13 -PUSHKAR -
JAIPUR
After breakfast proceed for Jaipur
and on arrival check-in at the
hotel. The Pink City of Jaipur has a
plethora of forts, palaces and
museums that captivate the tourist's
attention. Late afternoon, visit the
City Palace- a charming blend
Mughal and Rajasthani Architecture
that now houses all the artefacts
that showcase the regal past of
Jaipur. Also see the royal astronomy
at Jantar Mantar and the
nearby Hawa Mahal, from where
the royal ladies used to observe
numerous festive processions.
Overnight stay in Jaipur.
DAY 14 - JAIPUR
Day 14 of the Royal Rajasthan Tour
is solely dedicated to exploring the
Amber Fort. Reach the
magnificent fort on the back of an
elephant as you take in the sights
of the huge ramparts and towers. See
the Sheesh Mahal and the various
pavilions and courtyards that are
blessed with exquisite
craftsmanship.
Afternoon
is free for leisure / shopping.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 15 - JAIPUR -
AGRA
Post breakfast proceed to Agra
en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri
- a fascinating ghost town, lies a
little before Agra where you can see
the majestic Buland Darwaza
as well as the marble tomb of the
saint Salim Chisti, enclosed by
delicately carved marble screens.
Afternoon, arrive at Agra. After
checking into a hotel, visit the
Taj Mahal in the evening. Taj
Mahal weaves a story of everlasting
love in marble and was built by Shah
Jahan in the memory of his wife
Mumtaz Mahal. Overnight stay at
Agra.
DAY 16 - AGRA - DELHI
- ONWARD DESTINATION
Enjoy a whirlwind tour of Agra with
visits to the Agra Fort.
Check out from the hotel and proceed
towards Delhi, visiting the
Sikandra Fort enroute. After
arrival in Delhi, you will be taken
to the international airport for the
flight back home, at the end of the
Royal Rajasthan Tour. |
